Rutschin' on the dump road

Spotted on the Mullock Rd. (dump road), I'm hoping to snap as many patches of brake burns as I can before the roads are covered in snow...

Wednesday, 24 November 2010

Crowded?

Depends who you ask. Locals who love this spot died a little inside Nov. 11th when upwards of 15 people descended...things were quieter when I arrived.

Crowded? Perhaps by South Shore standards, anywhere else in the world, eh-no.

Tuesday, 23 November 2010

Thanks for all the views!

First off, thanks to all the new and returning readers. I am happy to announce the 'ole blog just surpassed 15,000 views! Shout out to my regular readers in Washington state, Vancouver, Ottawa, PEI, Halifax and those on the South Shore, thanks for sticking with me.

After a long drought of brake burn pics, here's a nice patch I spotted in Simpson's Corner a couple weekends ago. Enjoy!

Sunny waves at sunset

The setting sun created some gorgeous backdrops for the two surfers in the water that afternoon. Magic hour was in full effect that day.

Tuesday, 16 November 2010

Swell's a comin'

It's that time of the year again, fall surf season is upon us.

I get twitchy this time of year. Every vehicle with something on the roof gets me anxious.

"Who is that? I don't recognize the boards..."
"Are they heading to the secret spot!?!"

True, there are more surfers from the city showing up at our local spots. But in the grand scheme of things, there are still plenty of waves to go around.

I captured some nice evening light in the above shot, more shots from this location to follow later this week. Enjoy!
