What's on this weekend? Happy Birthday, Canada! Strawberries! Roast Beef!!!

If you are lucky enough to catch the strawberry tea/socials next week, consider yourself lucky.

Get cheek to jowl with the friendly folks in Blue Rocks for some good 'ole roast beef on Saturday.

Hopefully the rain doesn't thwart the Canada Day celebrations on Monday, have a great weekend everyone!

High tea in Vogler's Cove on Sunday? Yes please!  Hebb's Cross and St. Martin's have your breakfast needs covered Saturday morning.  Head 'up country' on Saturday for some chicken bbq in North Brookfield, hopefully the rain doesn't spoil their fun.

Upper Kingsburg: Sights like this never get old

A typical day in the burg of kings....deer crossing the road, while a tall ship is moored in Rose Bay.

The tall ship is the Norwegian vessel Sorlandet, which has been home to the Class Afloat students.  It is the oldest full rigged ship in the world still in operation!  Interested in learning how to sail on a tall ship? Check out this press release for more info.

I am smitten with the walk in tent sites at this park.  Especially because they have a group campfire pit surrounded by benches!  

Here's a shot I snapped from my campsite, looking back at the warm glow from the fire...
