Reasons why I love where I live: Xmas trees on power poles

I'm assuming the Xmas trees (festooned with lights, no less!) on the power poles in Rose Bay and Riverport are courtesy of our local electric commission. Whoever is responsible, I love 'em. Especially at night. I love driving home and seeing Xmas trees and lights ~20 ft. above the ground.

Rise and shine

After numerous attempts, I finally snapped a shot of last night's moonrise that wasn't terribly blurry. I'm glad I got a shot of the tree on the pier as well.

I like my commute home

I get greeted by scenes such as this one. 3 piers, 3 xmas trees.

I hope I can get a shot of these lit up at night, with the xmas lights reflecting in the water. It is January 9th, but hopefully the owners of these trees are as 'relaxed' as I am when it comes to taking down the 'ole tree...

Glorious Lahave

I pulled over a couple seconds too late....still happy with how this one turned out. Shot from the East bank of the Lahave River, looking back at Lahave.

Lahave ferry crossing video

Stumbled upon this short video of a crossing of the Lahave River via our beloved cable ferry.

psst, only tourists pay $5.25 to cross, those 'in the know' buy a book of 10 tickets for ~$12
