I'm glad I stopped to get this shot on Saturday, the field of yellow caught my eye. One day later it had been mowed and the yellow flowers were gone. This church (name escapes me) recently got new siding and a gleaming metal roof and spire. I think it looks great, especially against that blue sky and sea of yellow!
*update* I have it from a reliable source, that this church is now privately owned...which would explain the expensive reno's!
Oooh, full meal brekkie at St. Luke's is probably worth checking out, as is the English High Tea in Broad Cove.Families might want to check out Museum Day at the Desbrisay on Saturday...Take your pick of suppers, they all look great.

I'll have to act quickly to capture these blossoms before they are gone for the season. They are a sea of colour right now, a nice way to be greeted as I come home!
Pretty little plant...unless you are an insect and you happen to land on it. The sundew plant will slowly close its tendrils as it digests its victim. Carniverous plants, love 'em.
Spotted by Risser's Beach provincial park on Friday. It didn't seem to worried by my presence, looked a little ragged and hungry. I wonder if it lives in the dunes behind the beach?
Good weekend to get your lobster on in Blue Rocks, call for tickets. The hot turkey supper in Canaan is always worth the drive, if only to discover 'where' Canaan is!I haven't tried the Roast Beef supper in Blandford, but their other offerings are usually great.
