Home & Shrubbery

The first in what I hope will be a recurring series on the 'ole blog.

I'm loving all the spring time blossoms, and turns out....so do a lot of home owners in the area.

Big or small, modest or fancy, seems like everyone has at least one flowering shrub in their yard. Long live Spring!

Community Outreach

A common scene at the local skate park, cops talking to the kids.  Hopefully this is just a 'stern talking to' and not getting a summons for not wearing a helmet.
I'd rather see kids out there being active, helmet or no helmet...instead of being indoors.

Vinegar Hill Brake Burn

I heard the tires squealing from inside the house, ran outside and 'just' missed the burnout in progress....all that remained was a grey cloud of smoke hanging over Vinegar Hill. Shot this shortly thereafter while driving up the hill.

Snow's gone, bring on the brake burns!

Put a smile on my face

This group of kids were having fun in Lahave this past weekend. It looked like a prank straight out of Just for Laughs Gags.

First, they would mime holding an invisible rope across the highway, pulling it taught:

Then, as the car would approach, they would lift the invisible rope up high so the car could 'limbo' underneath it.

It made me laugh as I drove past them. ^_^

More signs of Spring

Rink 'graveyard' spotted in Lunenburg, so this is where the red and blue lines go to die...

Lunenburg, in the distance

Another shot from last Friday, this time from the Bayport area. Lunenburg can be seen in the distance, under a cloud of snow/hail as it blew through the area.

Monday, 2 April 2012

Out like a lion?

Well...maybe out like a lion cub? Last Friday was a mixed bag of weather, thick pellets of snow (not hard enough to be called hail) came and went throughout the afternoon. It made for some great clouds, this scene was captured in First South.
