A windy 'ole day at c.hill....

After a stellar session of kiteboarding at Crescent Beach (Photo taken by Dennis Evans):

...I watched the wind waves roll in at c.hill:

That's some nice detail work there, boys..

Maybe it's the 13 year old in me, but I always laugh when I see stuff like this:

Takin' it to the streets...err....dirt road...

Hirtle Road residents are (to quote Network): "mad as hell, and they're not going to take it any more!"

These pictures were taken after the road was graded, shortly after the protest signs were nailed to power poles along the road. Hirtle Rd. is a potholed mess, not unlike most secondary dirt roads in the county...

Mullock Rd. update.....still chunky (-_-)==p

Apparently, D.O.T's solution to the chunks on the Mullock Road is to move the orange pylons even further in to the middle of the road.

For all I know, it's local residents that have placed the pylons in the road. (o_0)

Mind the chunks!

Rare 'longhouse' firewood sighting

Deep in the heart of Lunenburg County, somewhere on the Northfield Rd., there lies a large 'longhouse' pile of firewood. Props go to the old timer who took the time to carefully stack this firewood!

Still more signs of Spring...brake burns!

Yes, we had flurries over the weekend (luckily we didn't get the 30 cm of snow Moncton received), but it's still technically Spring...

Here's another sure sign....bare pavement means a fresh canvas for the Nineveh/Colpton brake burn posse...here's some of their latest 'work':

You don't see this move that often...

Kay, he's not hanging five, or hanging ten....but as a fellow longboarder, I've got nothing but respect for this shot of Giome (sp?) nose riding...

Nice sunset last night...

Spotted these clouds on the drive home last night. I had to wait and wait and wait for a spot without power lines so I could shoot:

Rainy day shot

Hirtle's was just foggy when I took this shot, a contrast from the high winds and heavy rain we are experiencing today!

Monday, 6 April 2009

Spring surf shot

Local 'charger' Giome (sp?) with the eye of the tiger...might have to blow up his face so you can see his eyes...

Who doesn't like a nice sunset?

People who are dead inside, that's who!

Caught this one last week, wish I was up and about 10 minutes earlier, the intense colours vanished quickly...
