I've been talking about ice fishing for YEARS...this weekend, I finally did it!
First step, make a hole:
It took a while to break through, the ice was a solid 2 feet thick...

We drilled 4 holes before we caught our first one, once we found the right depth, we caught 2 rainbows:

nice set - yeah 1/2 the guys were outside and some had "cushy" huts :)
we had some deelish lake trout - fresh fish fry !! I am slowly learning to like winter.
