Christmas Lights

High power rates be damned, folks across Lunenburg County were hanging up Christmas lights with wild abondon.  Check out this display on a garage/workshop in New Germany....Merry Christmas, indeed!

What's on this weekend? Canada's birthday! Lots of food events too!

Phew, I'm worn out from typing up this very large list of events... It's going to be a great weekend weather and events wise...have a great one, everybody!

Starting 12 noon.
Duck race, children and adult activities, food and entertainment.

Flag Raising Ceremony: 12:00 noon.
Walk around Chester: 12:15 pm.
Enjoy free hot dogs, cake and pop.

New Germany Canada Day Parade

An assortment of shots taken at yesterday's well attended Canada Day parade in New Germany. It was neat to see some familiar faces in the crowd, and so many unfamiliar faces too!








I think this shot might be my fave from the day...


Uh, yeah...girls did not look like this when I was in junior high in New Germany, back in the day....


Not sure if this guy thought this pic was going in the paper, he was nice enough to stop his 'pack' of bikers for me so I could snap this shot.

I think this elderly couple appreciated the swing tunes played by the Mahone Bay Legion Band.
