The sun was shining, so they made hay

The mild weather this morning made me think of warmer days back in July.  Remember the heat?  Hopefully this image takes you back.

I spotted this vista on the last leg of my drive home.  You can see a tractor loading round bales of hay in the distance.  Man, that sky.....

When the sun shines....

...they make hay....

...and we get traffic 'jams', south shore style. Well, not much of a 'jam, just stuck behind a tractor with hay baler in tow for a minute or two:




Count your blessings that there are still people who know how to make hay! Come the end times, the ability to grow fuel for animals will no doubt become a valuable skill...mind you, not sure what we'll do with all these derelict diesel machines lying around...I'm sure we'll figure something out, right?

The light was nice 'n' warm last night when I got home, so I snapped these two shots, figgered they fit in with the haying theme:


Not hay per se
