Minivan nestled 'neath the leaves

The complimentary colours of this derelict minivan caught my eye...

Mount Pleasant/Huey Lake Road, also known as..

Anyone who has ventured down this mogul run, masquerading as a 'road' knows that this homemade protest road sign is sadly, correct.

Gary Ramey, PAVE THIS ROAD! You used it as an example of poor roads during your campaign, I seen you in to the paypuh an erryding.

Dirt side road navigation

Driving dirt side roads requires a keen eye and an ability to follow the pack.

When in doubt, look for the well worn path the locals take through a rough section. It's often the least pot hole-y path available. This section of road is in Union Square.

A handyman's dream

Just needs a little TLC, or so the real estate listing would suggest (if it existed).

An oldie, but a goodie...

I wish this shop had been open, I really wanted to take pics inside. (I have a soft spot for run down convenience stores...)

Takin' it to the streets...err....dirt road...

Hirtle Road residents are (to quote Network): "mad as hell, and they're not going to take it any more!"

These pictures were taken after the road was graded, shortly after the protest signs were nailed to power poles along the road. Hirtle Rd. is a potholed mess, not unlike most secondary dirt roads in the county...

Mullock Rd. update.....still chunky (-_-)==p

Apparently, D.O.T's solution to the chunks on the Mullock Road is to move the orange pylons even further in to the middle of the road.

For all I know, it's local residents that have placed the pylons in the road. (o_0)

Nah, a couple pylons should be enough...

Way to underachieve Nova Scotia Dept. of Transportation!

The dump road (Mullock Rd.) breaks up like this year after year....I guess we'll have to wait for an election, or a rich tory supporter to move to this road before it gets fixed:

I can remember driving past this convenience store thinking "I'd never pay THAT much for gas!"....

Now, paying 87.9 cents/litre for supreme seems like a dream come true. As you can see, the store has long since closed. I'm just glad I got a picture of these old gas prices before the signs were removed!
