One of my favourite shots from The Big Ex, shot last summer...now in monochrome!

This year's theme for The Big Ex is: "Hookin' up & Kickin' Back". I'm not sure if any of the organizers know what 'the kids' mean when they say hookin' up...I'm sure at the very least it'll give the tweens and teens something to snicker about as they wander through the midway and the dairy cattle barn..

This year's agricultural fair runs from July 26 - 31, cheggit.

What's on this weekend? Breakfasts, roast beef and roast pork suppers!!! And an ox pull

A decent selection of community grub on offer this weekend. The Conquerall Bank Fire Department strawberry supper will be held on Jun 26th, their highly anticipated Planked Halibut supper will be held on August 21st. It is a 'must attend' event, trust me.

When I saw this guy exit the oxen barn, I was beside myself! I am surprised I was able to keep my camera steady as I took this shot. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

This is a 'must attend' in the community supper circuit. It is a cavalcade of comfort food, hope you like ground beef and sugar! ^_^ Also, the horse and ox pull that takes place earlier in the afternoon is good fun and a great way to people watch.

I've seen the first batch of strawberries at the local farmer's market, so hopefully they use fresh berries at this one and not frozen! Ask before you buy your tickets!
