Are you curious about the farms that your frequent at your local farmers' market? Then Open Farm Day is for you!

This Sunday, Sept. 19th, various farms across the province are opening their gates to the public. Check out this
map of the participating farms and check one out!

Looks like Sunday is the day to catch a supper or two...

Breakfasts

Saturday, Sept. 18th,
Family Breakfast
Buckfield Community Hall
7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Includes: eggs, bacon, sausage, homemade baked beans, hash browns, toast, tea, coffee or juice. Adults $6.00 Children $3.00.

Suppers

September 19, Sunday,
Strawberry Shortcake Supper,
Italy Cross, Middlewood and District fire hall,
3-6 p.m.
Ham, baked beans, potato salad, scalloped potatoes, rolls, brown bread, assorted cakes, strawberry shortcake.
Adults $8.50; children (5-12) $4.50

Sunday, September 19,
Roast Beef Supper,
Newcombville fire hall,
4-6:30 p.m.
Menu consists of roast beef with mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, gravy and assorted pie for dessert. Tea, coffee or juice.
Adults $10; children 5-12 $4.50; under 5 free.

What's on this weekend? Too many suppers!!!

The Parkdale/Maplewood heritage blueberry supper is my pick of the weekend, but as you can see, there are numerous supper options this weekend, take yer pick!

Evening cruise



I wish I had shot this a little earlier, to get the nice line of the road going up the hill in the distance, but I like the reflection of the sail in the water.

The owner of this boat took my father, uncle and myself out for an evening cruise on his catamaran. What a great way to end my uncle's last day in Nova Scotia!
