I have inherited a nice patch of poppies in front of my house. As you can see, they are just about ready to 'asplode'
First, the pics! I had to do a double take when I spotted this bald eagle yesterday evening. Just hanging out...gazing at Rose Bay. Then it started getting dive bombed by sea gulls! More pics of the aerial assault to follow, but here's a taste. The eagle is looking up at a gull out of the frame in this pic:
As far as food this weekend, what a list! It looks like it's lobster weekend, judging by the offerings on deck. Also, looks like the weekend to actually call and book tickets to these events as several warn that they routinely sell out.Champagne brunch in Broad Cove looks intriguing. Lobster sandwiches in Petite sound delish. For those that want a bit of entertainment to accompany their vittles, check out the horse/ox pull in Lake Center...Have a great weekend everyone!BreakfastsMay 29,

Not much out there for waves last night, but the moonrise over the clouds on the horizon made it all worth it.
...err...laying a patch of brake burns, that is.
Grimm road brake burns, of course!
