Scraping blog posts from a friend, that is!

Check out the above picture and many other fine shots from the burnout competition and lawn tractor races from this year's South Shore in Motion event.

The Big Ex: more belt buckles and howling wolf at moon shirts

More rural zeitgeist ephemera spotted at the Big Ex.....

giggity.

I wonder if this vendor realized the cultural references in her booth?

From the sweatshirts sported by Bret on Flight of the Conchords, to the recent 'lulz' provided by the comment section for the three wolf moon t-shirt page on Amazon....

The Big Ex: Hats and more brill cream...

More shots from the barn with all the 'stuff'...hats, belt buckles, howling wolf t-shirts, etc...

After my first brill cream encounter, I kept my eyes peeled for more...spotted this gent just before I left for the day...

Nice night for an evening...

Some local wave enthusiasts out last night...enjoying the warm'ish waters and killer sunset...oh, and there were some clean sets too:

Berkeley catches some face..

Classic Chris style..

Every now and then the wave would peel...

He's airborne....'nuff said.

It was an amazing sunset, but I was preoccupied with capturing some sweet rides...

The Big Ex: in to the barns...

More shots from our local agricultural fair.

This time, I venture into the craft barn and wander around the 'other' barn in search of the elusive chainsaw belt buckle I saw there years ago...never to be seen again...

If you don't know who this guy is...you don't know Lunenburg County (hint: he calls in to the CKBW birthday line ALL the time)

I'm often tempted to break the glass and devour the delectable treats within the display case...

How's this spread for a sample of rural zeitgeist?

So THAT'S where those t-shirts come from!

What's on This Weekend? Planked Halibut...2nd Attempt!

This weekend will be the 2nd attempt for the Conquerall Bank Fire Dept. Planked Halibut supper. As you may have noticed, we had a lot of rain last Sunday, which doesn't make an outdoor fire for cooking the halibut possible. Hopefully Danny boy frigs so they can get the fires raging and the halibut planking....
