Nah, a couple pylons should be enough...Way to underachieve Nova Scotia Dept. of Transportation! The dump road (Mullock Rd.) breaks up like this year after year....I guess we'll have to wait for an election, or a rich tory supporter to move to this road before it gets fixed:
This one's from a couple weeks ago....the offenders 'claim' there was snow in the lot when they parked...a likely story >_<
These solar powered LED lights were put out for a birthday party and...are still hangin' out, casting some neat light on the snow. ^_^
Only a couple breakfasts on this weekend...sorry Legion breakfast, but it's no contest this weekend....make your way to Dayspring for their smokey bacon goodness!BrekkiesRoyal Canadian Legion #23Lunenburg, NSFeb. 287:30 - 11:30 amAdults: $6Kids 5-12: $3Takeout available for pickup: $6.50, call 634-4215Fireman's BreakfastDayspring, NSFeb. 287:30 - 11 amAdults: $6Children 5-12: $4Under 5: FREE!Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, coffee or tea, juice, muffins and cheeseThis is my pick for breakfasts this weekend, you can't go wrong!
Shrove Tuesday has come and gone, luckily we managed to hit one of the many pancake suppers.
It's hard to give directions to a church or church hall in Lunenburg, there are so many! Luckily, I had a vague idea where this church hall was located, we found it without too much trouble.Shortly after we were seated, our plates of pancakes and sausages arrived. Pretty simple, 2 pancakes and 3 breakfast sausages. Sadly, my camera's lens was fogged up so I couldn't get pictures of the plate. But, I did manage to get some shots from the kitchen!
Sorry folks, you can run but you can't hide from my camera! ^_^While I was in the kitchen, I managed to also get a shot of the pancakes on the griddle:
The tables in the hall were arranged a little too tightly....Our table kept getting knocked about every time someone tried to walk past it. Somehow, none of the liquids on our table spilled...I thought pancakes, sausages and tea or coffee were the extent of the supper. But, oh, no....there was dessert as well! Sorry pancreas, time for some insulin shock!
A delectable way to end the evening!
